As a Hamilton wedding photographer, I have had the privilege of visiting many gorgeous wedding venues in the GTA and all of Southern Ontario. One of my favourite types of wedding venues though HAS to be a golf course! Golf courses always have stellar outdoor backdrops for your wedding ceremony and portraits, and spacious, well-lit interiors for your wedding reception (or indoor ceremony space in case of rain). To help couples choose their picture-perfect golf course wedding venue, I have compiled a list of my personal favourites. Enjoy!
Whistle Bear Golf Club in Cambridge, Ontario
Whistle Bear Golf Club has got to be one of my all-time favourite wedding venues. From its beautiful covered ceremony location to the whimsical wooded surrounding areas - this Cambridge wedding venue is a photographer’s dream! Having an outdoor covered ceremony spot is perfect for any weather conditions - and with tons of light to boot. And then the variety of photo locations on their grounds is breathtaking, and leaves you with such diverse wedding portraits.
2. Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club in Dundas, Ontario
Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club is a stunning place to get married. From the balcony overlooking the course (perfect for your first look), to the spectacular indoor space perfect for your wedding reception and/or your wedding ceremony in case of rain, this place has it all. The fall colours are especially vibrant and create the perfect autumn wedding aesthetic. Shout-out to coordinator Antonio for being the host(ess) with the mostest!

Piper’s Heath is a sweet spot for an intimate golf course wedding. With their beautiful rolling hills, rustic barn, adorable tent as a rain backup, and quaint reception area - they’ve got your wedding day covered. It’s a dream getting to explore the grounds for a variety of portrait locations!
4. Royal Ontario Golf Club in Milton, Ontario
Royal Ontario Golf Club is a great place to host your wedding all in one place. They have a spacious bridal suite, gorgeous grounds, and large areas for your cocktail hour and reception all within feet of each other! If you’re looking for a stress-free golf course wedding, Royal Ontario might be the place for you.
5. Victoria Park East Golf Club in Puslinch, Ontario
Victoria Park East Golf Club is a naturally beautiful venue for your wedding day. From the hanging willow trees to the amazing ponds, this place makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairytale. If you’re a nature-lover looking for the perfect green space for your special day - this might be the pick for you.
6. Flamborough Hills Golf Club in Hamilton, Ontario
Flamborough Hills Golf Club is the perfect party venue! The separate bar and lounge space is excellent for cocktail hour, with a huge reception space for larger weddings. Their indoor spaces are great for an indoor ceremony in the colder weather as well!
7. Credit Valley Golf and Country Club in Mississauga, Ontario
Credit Valley Golf and Country Club is a colourful wedding venue full of picturesque locations for your day. They have a beautiful outdoor ceremony space overlooking the course, with a large outdoor patio where you can entertain your guests throughout cocktail hour before entering their spacious reception room for dinner (which of course makes for the perfect ceremony spot in case of rain).
8. Markland Wood Golf Club in Etobicoke, Ontario
Markland Wood Golf Club is tucked away in its own oasis just outside of Toronto, Ontario. It’s the perfect wedding venue for people wanting to get married in Toronto but without the hustle and bustle. With an adorable outdoor ceremony space right next to the venue, and various locations to go and take gorgeous portraits around the grounds, this golf course is another dream for a wedding photographer like me!
9. Grey Silo Golf Club in Waterloo, Ontario
Grey Silo Golf Club is the perfect rustic wedding venue. With the large brick stone fireplace as the centrepiece of your ceremony and reception, as well as the country barns in the yard, this is the place for country-loving couples to get hitched!
10. Otter Creek Golf Club in Otterville, Ontario
And last, but not least: Otter Creek Golf Club is another all-around gorgeous wedding venue. Its outdoor ceremony location makes the perfect backdrop for group photos right after the ceremony - making it easy for your friends and family to navigate. They also have numerous picturesque spots within walking distance to go off and get your couples portraits too.
