Jess & Luke’s Backyard Wedding in Alliston, ON

Jess reached out to me early on in 2020 to capture their August wedding. They had originally planned to get married at Silver Springs Resort in Eugenia, but when Covid-19 hit, they were forced to change their wedding day plans. They decided to move forward with a small backyard wedding in Alliston - and it turned out to be more beautiful than I could have imagined!

I arrived in Alliston, Ontario at 1:30 pm to begin taking pictures of the groom and his groomsmen and family. His groomsmen had fun getting him ready in the backyard.

After about 30 minutes with the boys, I drove just around the corner to the house where the wedding was taking place to capture the girls getting ready. I also photographed some shots of the lovely rustic decor, as well as the bride’s beautiful jewellery!

We had a little extra time, so we did a mini photoshoot of the bride’s mom and dad!

Next, it was time for Jess to get into her breath-taking wedding dress by Sincerity Bridal from The Gown in Newmarket.

By 4:00 pm, it was time for their beautiful backyard ceremony to begin.

Then it was time to celebrate and take some family portraits!

Once we were finished with family photos, we headed out to The Gibson Centre for some couple and wedding party shots!

Since Jess and Luke are avid bikers, we NEEDED a shot of their bike tans! This ended up being a favourite photo for all of us.

I noticed a big beautiful field out behind The Gibson Centre, so that’s where we headed next.

After an hour or so, we headed back to the house for dinner. But not before the bride and groom rode their two-person bike up and down the street!

After dinner and cake-cutting, Jess and Luke shared their first dance to the song Perfect by Ed Sheeran, followed by a father/daughter mother/son dance.

We squeezed in a couple more photos before it was time for me to leave at 7:30 pm, including a group shot with all of their guests!
